Housing Support at Lakeview hub

Some exciting news - The John Howard Society Housing Support Program will now be at the Lakeview Hub every Wednesday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

The goal of housing support is to help people find a stable place to live. They can offer lots of help with filling out housing forms, talking to landlords and understanding legal processes such as the Landlord and Tenant Board.

On Wednesday afternoons at the Hub, Housing Support can:

  • provide free resources to help search for housing
  • paperwork help with Durham Access to Social Housing and rental forms
  • landlord help
  • financial help with the Housing Stability Program
  • Ontario Electricity Support
  • Low-income Energy Assistance Program

They are at the Hub to help you secure and maintain housing. See us on Wednesday!

The Lakeview Hub is about more than finding jobs—it’s about helping people thrive in all aspects of their lives. By providing employment support that helps individuals holistically connect with the labour market, we aim to meet people where they are, understand their challenges and work with them to build a stronger, more connected community.

At the heart of it, the Hub ensures that everyone in the Lakeview community can grow, succeed, and feel proud of who they are. Lakeview Hub envisions a thriving community where individuals are empowered to reach their full potential. We see a future where everyone has access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed—where connections are strengthened, challenges are met with resilience, and every person feels valued, respected, and proud to be part of something bigger. Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant Lakeview where hope and possibility are within everyone’s reach.

Lakeview Hub - Empowering the community together.
